I am currently an M.A. student in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Waterloo. My research focuses on the intersection of the philosophy of mind, cognitive science, and human-computer interaction (HCI). Currently, I am investigating whether interactive systems, specifically video games, can serve as a methodological tool for capturing phenomenal consciousness. By examining theoretical frameworks, I explore how interactive mechanics isolate experiential differences, the structural limits of this isolation, and the resulting ethical consequences.
Before my M.A., I received my B.A. in Global Business and Digital Arts from the University of Waterloo, with minors in Philosophy and Cognitive Science. My undergraduate background heavily emphasized user experience (UX) analysis, interactive media, and game design, with a specific focus on virtual reality (VR).
